Clarifying Optimum Setting Temperatures for In-Flight Personal Air Conditioning System Considering Individual Thermal Sensitivity Characteristics

The number of people who use airplanes has increased year by year. However, most passengers have a feeling discomfort during long-distance flight. One the factors is lack temperature control in cabin. If air conditioning can be adjusted to each passenger’s thermal sensation, whole comfort cabin would improved. Therefore, personal method required for airplanes. In order implement adapted individual this study proposes seat-type system that adjusts part body and aims clarify appropriate setting consideration sensation. As result, degree change was clarified based on sensation index. It found changing 2.5 °C per scale improved comfort. Furthermore, tend feel cold were more sensitive changes. concluded personalized possible sensitivity characteristics. For prospects, it desirable automatically predicts taking into account
